Why We Built This Site
Alabama gives the public broad access to many court records, but Calhoun County does not keep every record in one office or one free online database. The Circuit Clerk is the record keeper and business manager for Circuit Court and District Court proceedings. The Probate Office handles marriage certificate recording, estates, guardianships, conservatorships, adoptions, name changes, recording, and probate record-room access. The Sheriff maintains jail and warrant resources, while municipal courts may hold city-ticket and ordinance cases. We organize those local paths so users can see which office, portal, phone number, or request process fits the record type.

What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site. We have no connection to any Alabama court, Calhoun County office, sheriff's office, municipal court, or state agency. There are real limits to what we can help with:
- We cannot file paperwork or send records requests on your behalf
- We cannot issue certified copies of any court document, probate record, marriage certificate, divorce certificate, or vital record
- We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific Alabama case applies to you
- We cannot guarantee that every Calhoun County phone number, fee, address, or procedure listed on this site is current right now
Only the issuing court or government office can provide a certified copy with an official seal. We can point you to the right office, but the document has to come from them.
Search Partners
Some pages on this site include search boxes powered by third-party providers. Those companies set their own pricing and run their own services. When you use one of those tools and it leads to a paid signup, we may earn a referral fee. That revenue helps keep this site free for visitors. We do not control what those tools charge, what appears in their results, or whether their information matches the official Calhoun County Circuit Clerk, Probate Office, Sheriff, Alabama Administrative Office of Courts, or other government source.
